How MusterDeck collects, uses and protects your personal information. This notice was last updated on 29 September 2026.
MusterDeck ("we", "us") operates the MusterDeck maritime vessel management platform and this website.
We are the data controller responsible for the personal information you provide when you register for a demonstration, request a quote, subscribe to our services or use our platform.
When you register for a personalised demonstration we ask for your name, business email, company or organisation, country, and optionally your telephone, company website and a short description of the problem you want to solve.
To personalise the demonstration we also ask about your organisation type, fleet size, vessel types, role and priorities. These answers help us tailor what you see; you do not have to answer every question.
If you complete a demonstration we record your progress through the walkthrough so we can resume and summarise it for you.
We collect standard technical information about your visit such as the pages viewed and the referrer or marketing source (e.g. UTM parameters) that brought you to us, to understand and improve our marketing.
The Wellbeing Hub is designed as an awareness and signposting resource. MusterDeck does not ask users to record individual mood scores, mental-health diagnoses, counselling notes, self-harm disclosures or mental-fitness assessments in the Hub, and it does not create a manager dashboard showing an individual user’s mental-health status.
We do not add feature-specific analytics events to the Hub’s independent support links and we do not use access, non-access or patterns of access to wellbeing content to infer a user’s health status, fitness for duty or suitability for employment. Normal technical, security and availability logs used to operate and protect the service may still apply.
Mental-health information is health data and may be special-category personal data. If a customer chooses to process worker health information elsewhere in MusterDeck, the customer is responsible for identifying the appropriate lawful basis and special-category condition, applying data minimisation, need-to-know access, retention and security safeguards, and completing any required data-protection impact assessment.
Users should not enter sensitive health information into general notes or free-text fields unless their organisation has specifically authorised that processing and provided the required privacy information.
To create and manage your demonstration, including showing you a personalised walkthrough and a recommended plan.
To provide and operate the MusterDeck platform if you become a customer.
To respond to your requests, such as a quote enquiry or support question.
To send you useful product updates and follow-up information by email — only if you separately tick the marketing consent box. You can unsubscribe at any time.
To improve our products, content and the way we communicate, using aggregated or anonymised information.
We process your information to set up and run your demonstration on the basis of taking steps at your request before entering a contract.
We process information needed to deliver the platform under the contract you have with us.
We send marketing emails only on the basis of your consent, which you give by ticking the marketing consent box. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
Demonstration data is kept while your demo is active and for a short period afterwards so we can follow up and answer your questions.
If you become a customer, your information is kept for the life of your account and then for as long as we need it for accounting, tax or legal reasons.
If you are not a customer and you ask us to delete your information, we will remove it within a reasonable period, except where we must keep some records for legal, accounting or tax purposes.
We do not sell your personal information.
We use trusted service providers to host the platform, send email and process payments. They only process information on our instructions and under appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.
We may share information where required by law, or to protect our rights, customers or the public.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal information, to object to certain processing, and to receive a copy of your information in a portable format.
If you receive marketing emails you can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us.
To exercise any of these rights, or to raise a concern, contact us using the details below.
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including access controls and encryption in transit.
Some of our service providers may process information outside your country. Where this happens, we put suitable safeguards in place.
